OSU women’s volleyball to open tourney at home
The Ohio State women's volleyball team (25-5) earned the No. 9 seed in the NCAA Tournament and will face Howard (18-12) on Friday.
The Covelli Center will play host to first- and second-round matches. North Carolina and Tennessee play at 5 p.m. Friday, with the meeting between OSU and Howard to follow at approximately 7 p.m.
The winners will advance to play at 6 p.m. Saturday.
Ohio State has won seven straight, and Mac Podraza leads the nation in assists per set with 11.97.
The Buckeyes were 15-5 in Big Ten matches this season, finishing in a tie for third behind No. 4 seed Wisconsin and No. 6 Purdue. Eight Big Ten teams made the tournament.
The NCAA'S Final Four will be held in Columbus at Nationwide Arena Dec. 16-18.
