Delores Ann “Dee Dee”
Brunner, 68, of West
Liberty and formerly of
Columbus, passed away at 8:27am on Monday,
November 29, 2021, at
Green Hills Care Center in
West Liberty, Ohio following a long and valiant struggle with dementia. She was born on November 20, 1953, in Bellefontaine,
Ohio, a daughter of the late
Wilford Stanley and Janet
Joy (Turner) Brunner. Dee
Dee is survived by three sisters, Deb (John) Hanson,
Diane (Don) Lewis, and
Lory Park; four brothers,
Mike (Susan) Brunner,
Mark (Donna) Brunner,
John (Deb) Brunner, and
Dave Brunner; her ex-husband, Mike Tavenner; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Dee Dee was preceded in death by a sister
Becky Brunner, a sister-inlaw Diana Brunner, and a brother-in-law John Park.
Dee Dee graduated from Indian
Lake High School and
Franklin University in Columbus
where she earned a Bachelor of Science in
Business Administration degree. Throughout her professional career, Dee Dee had worked in the business department at Riverside
Hospital and as an office manager for Johnson and
Associates Inc. Medical
Product Specialists, both in Columbus. She loved to travel, read, be a spectator of Spring Nationals Drag
Racing, and make her many nieces and nephews happy.
Dee Dee was known for her sweet smile, infectious giggle, fashion sense, special parties, crazy Halloween costumes, love of the sun, moon, and stars, and her generous ways. Her family will miss her greatly. The family will receive friends from 10-11am on Thursday,
December 2, 2021, at the
Eichholtz Daring & Sanford
Funeral Home & Cremation
Center, 321 N. Main Street in Bellefontaine, where
Rev. Ken Neighoff will officiate a funeral service at 11am. Burial will follow in Huntsville Cemetery in
Huntsville, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made, in Dee Dee’s memory, to
Green Hills Care Center, 6557 U.S. 68 South,
West Liberty, Ohio 43357.
