Youth production of ‘Nutcracker’ to take stage

Balletmet’s “The Nutcracker” doesn’t open until next week, but if you just can’t wait to be transported to the Land of the Sugar Plum Fairy, check out the New Albany Children’s Ballet Theatre’s production of the show, which opens this weekend at the Mccoy Center for the Arts, 100 W. Dublin-granville Road, New Albany. The youth ensemble will perform the holiday classic at 7 p.m. Dec. 3; 1 and 5 p.m. Dec. 4; 7 p.m. Dec. 10; noon and 7 p.m. Dec. 11; and 2 p.m. Dec. 12.
