A newfangled ‘Nutcracker’

-

Tired of tutus and toe shoes? For an entirely different twist on “The Nutcracker,” “The Hip-hop Nutcracker” will feature hip-hop dancers, a DJ and rap artist Kurtis Blow in a bold reimagination of the holiday perennial set in modern-day New York rather than the 19th century. The one-night-only performance will take place at 8 p.m. Dec. 4, in the Palace Theatre, 34 W. Broad St. Masks and proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test required.
