Columbus Children’s Theatre to present ‘A Christmas Story’
The 1983 movie classic “A Christmas Story” gets a full-scale musical treatment in a lavish production by Columbus Children's Theatre, playing at the Lincoln Theatre, 769 Long St., from Dec. 10 to 23. The musical, set in the 1940s, sensibly retains all the wellknown moments of the movie, from the “fragile” lamp to the misbegotten attempt to lick a frozen lamppost, while focusing on the quest of young Ralphie to procure a Red Ryder air rifle as a Christmas present. The musical will be performed at 7 p.m. Dec. 10, 11, 17, 18, 21 and 22, and 2 p.m. Dec. 11, 12, 18, 19 and 23. Masks and proof of vaccination or negative COVID test are required. Tickets: $16.50 to $51.50 (614-469-939, cbusarts.com)
