Former Browns coach and Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Hue Jackson is expected to be named the coach of the Grambling State Tigers.

Jackson spent part of the 2018 season with the Bengals as a special assistant to then-head coach Marvin Lewis and was considered a candidate to replace Lewis before they hired Zac Taylor.

Jackson was also the Bengals’ wide receivers coach from 2004 to 2006. He returned to Cincinnati as an assistant when the Oakland Raiders fired him following their 8-8 season in 2011, Jackson’s first year as a head coach. He was a Bengals assistant and offensive coordinator before the Cleveland Browns hired him to be their coach in 2016. He went 3-36-1 there.
