1933 - 2021

Connie Ann Glassburn, 1933-2021, passed peacefully on December 7, 2021 at the age of 88. Connie was a loving mother and grandmother and found joy in being surrounded by family and friends. Connie was born in Columbus, Ohio, and resided there for most of her life. She was married to her beloved husband, Herbert Glassburn, for 50 years prior to his passing in 2005. Connie was also preceded in death by her parents Harold and Josephine Shopshire, her brothers Tom Shopshire and Larry Shopshire, her son Rick Glassburn (Becki), and her great-granddaughter Caroline Casper. She was survived by her sister, Shirley Terry; her two daughters, Delia Wotring (Ted) and Melanie Pitzer Mcsweeney (Duffy); Heather Casper (Mickey), Danielle Sanzo (Scott), Fred Wotring (Jennifer), Justin Wotring (Katelyn), Paige Pollard-mccague (Drew), Timothy Wotring, Lauren Pitzer and Austin Pitzer. Connie was blessed with 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and close friends. Connie retired from Kohl’s Department store and was a charter member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. Funeral services for family and friends will be held on Monday, December 13, beginning with viewing hours at 10am and the funeral service at 11am at Heart & Hope Funeral Home by Schoedinger, 3030 W Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio. Graveside service will be held on a future date for the immediate family.
