Little Turtle residents’ voices and wishes being ignored

-

Columbus City Council has ignored the Little Turtle residents for the past two years; they have steamrolled our objections about the boondoggle they call the “Little Turtle Way Project”. They should call it the “Destruction of the Little

Turtle Way Project.”

Our residents are devastated to think that the beautiful, grand boulevard that has been the entryway to our homes since the Little Turtle community began in 1972 will be bulldozed, all of the mature trees razed, and our major greenspace replaced by condos, apartments and parking areas.

Little Turtle is or was a unique community, often referred to as a “hidden gem” in the media.

What a shame it would be to destroy this piece of Columbus’ history!

This proposed roadway will not benefit the community’s traffic or safety. All Columbus residents should be outraged with the $6 million price tag on this project. There are much more urgent issues in Columbus that demand attention and need funding.

We call upon Columbus City Council to scrap the Little Turtle Way Project and start over. This time, listen to the people and hear us!
