Mary Lou Everett Caley, 89, died December 11, 2021, at home. Mary Lou was born January 28, 1932, to Ida Fipps Everett

Curran and Arthur Kern

Everett. Mary Lou graduated from Mifflin High

School and The Ohio State

University. She and her husband, Robert C. Caley, celebrated 69 years of marriage this year. Mary and Bob traveled the world together, sailing the

Caribbean, backpackin­g through Europe, skiing the

Alps, climbing the Acropolis

mount, crossing the

Bosporus, and sliding down

But her favorite place was the house Bob built for them nearly 60 years ago in

Minerva Park, Ohio, where they lived together until her death. Mary Lou retired as a financial analyst from

The Boeing Company and taught for ten years at

Columbus State Community

College. She was an avid skier, accomplish­ed sailor, and flew sailplanes and power planes. She also held a motorcycle license.

Mary Lou was a member of Hoover Sailing Club and

Central College Presbyteri­an

Church in Westervill­e,

Ohio. In addition to her parents, Mary Lou was predecease­d by her beloved sister Betty Sue (Suzie)

Everett Nestor, brotherin-law Harold Nestor, and sister-in-law Grace Feist.

She is survived by husband, Bob; brother-in-law,

Paul Caley (Gail); nieces and nephews, Mary Lee

Nestor Zastudil, Nancy

Nestor-baker (Fred), Roger

Feist, Chris Caley, and

Cheryl Caley; great-nieces and great-nephews,

Nippert (John), Nancy Lee

Friece Zastudil (Ian), Adam

Baker (Kelle), Caley Nestor

Baker (Robert), and Harold

Baker (Ashley); great-great nieces and nephews,

Isaiah, Bo, Meredith, Levi,

Fitz, Jackson, Samuel,

Madelyn, and Lexie Lou.

Her beautiful laughter, incisive intelligen­ce, adventures­ome spirit, and embracing love brightened and bettered the lives of all who knew her. Friends may call at Ellsworth Chapel at Central College Presbyteri­an
