Schools shouldn’t be funded using real estate tax values

I read with great interest the Dec. 12 article, “Bill looks to curb school challenges to homes’ values,” on school district challenges to tax values.

There are sound arguments on both sides perhaps. But a solution is easy: stop funding schools using real estate tax values. Problem solved. I won’t be holding my breath.
