Gwen Jackson, 92, passed away with her family by her side, December 14, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born and raised in Bellaire, Ohio on July 17, 1929, Gwen will be remembered for her warm smile and friendly personalit­y. Always kind and patient, her spirit and energy were an inspiratio­n to all who met her. A cheerleade­r for the Bellaire Big Red and a great student, Gwen loved her hometown and cherished her childhood memories. She married the love of her life, Jim at the young age of eighteen. Their marriage thrived for seventy-one years. The couple settled in Columbus and raised three children in Grandview Heights. They loved to travel and spend time with friends, visiting Europe and New Mexico numerous times. Gwen enjoyed her career, working with several organizati­ons including The Ohio Hospital Associatio­n. Her most cherished roles were as an amazing wife, mother, grandmothe­r, great grandmothe­r, and friend to many. She was a prolific reader, reading two - three books per week and kept notes on every book she read. She loved playing cards and Mexican dominoes with her friends. Gwen is preceded in death by her devoted husband Jim. Also preceded by her parents Floyd and Dorothy Banker, sister Dorothy (Spahr) and brother Alan. Gwen is survived by her children, Mark (Pam) of Kalamazoo,

Michigan, Beth Garfield

(Bruce) of Columbus, Brent (Patti) of Columbus; along with several grandchild­ren, Sarah Caldwell (Jeff), Becca Bailen (Michael), Abbi Jackson, Harrison Jackson; and great grandchild­ren, Benjamin and Connor Caldwell and Emmett Bailen. A special thanks to her kind and caring friends and neighbors at The Villas of Mill Run whom she cherished. The family will host a celebratio­n of her life in the
