NY. Betty was married 53 years to her loving husband, Herschel C. Atkinson

Jr. who preceded her in death in 1999. She was also preceded in death by her sister Jeanne Whitford

Benner and brother Robert

Whitford. Betty is survived by 4 children, Lynn Atkinson,

Betsy (Michael) Miely,

Karen (Richard) Argo and

Herschel C. (Elizabeth) Atkinson

III; 4 grandchild­ren,

Kelly Miely (John Stone),

Andrew Argo (fiancée, Lisa

Waugh), Megan (Douglas)

Daughters and Ty (Michelle)

Argo; 5 great grandchild­ren,

Tommy, Abby and Charlie

Daughters, Julian Argo and

George Owen Stone; and many loving nieces and nephews. Betty graduated from The Ohio State University,

was a member of Delta

Gamma sorority and was the May Queen in 1944.

Betty was associated with

Argo & Lehne Jewelers for 35 years. She was a faithful and avid Buckeye fan,

OSU alumni life member, member of Covenant Presbyteri­an

Church, Twig#44 of Nationwide Children’s

Hospital and a lifetime member of Upper Arlington

Civic Associatio­n. A private service will be held at a later date. Arrangemen­ts entrusted to SCHOEDINGE­R

NORTHWEST.
