Greater Columbus top home sales start above $2.5 million

- Jim Weiker Columbus Dispatch | USA TODAY NETWORK

Entry-level home buyers weren’t the only ones to face sticker-shock this year in the Columbus area, as demand for homes pushed up prices across the economic spectrum. ● As of Monday, 341 homes sold in Greater Columbus for at least $1 million this year, shattering the previous record of 223 set last year, according to the Columbus Realtors trade association. ● Luxury home sales were so robust that this year’s roundup of the Columbus-area’s Top 10 home sales start north of $2.5 million. The most expensive home on the list six years ago wouldn’t have even made this year’s list. ● New Albany led this year’s lineup with three of the 10 top home sales, but vintage Dublin golf course properties continue to draw top dollar, with two Muirfield homes and one in Tartan
