-

1947 - 2021

Carolyn Kay Hoffman Towers, age 74, of Reynoldsburg, OH, formerly of Honeoye Falls, NY, died Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Mt. Carmel East Medical Center after a short illness. Born in Maryville, MO, to the late Howard Holman and Elnora Elizabeth (Bush) Hoffman, Carolyn grew up in Southwest, IA. She taught elementary music in Iowa and Florida and then served in the administration offices of the Rush-henrietta School District in Henrietta, NY, for nearly 30 years. Carolyn was her three children’s biggest supporter and her darling grandchildren who adored her were the light of her life. She had a deep and abiding faith and her service to others was evident in community involvement and the dresser drawer filled with hats, scarves, and blankets, that she made and regularly donated to people in need. Carolyn missed her dear Bob terribly and we pray they are playing a grand duet together once again. She is survived by her children, Kevin (Jessica) Towers, Middletown, MD, Kylie (Jeff) Smith, Columbus, Kari Zhang, Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Clare and Cameron Towers, Brayden Zhang; sisters, Cecile (Larry) Cozad, Mariann (Ken) Harlan; brother, David (Debbie) Hoffman; sistersin-law, Julie Hoffman, Judy (Bob) Roystan, Kay (Bruce

Stevenson) Towers, Paula Haney; brothers in-law, David (Maretta) Towers, and Randy Whitcher; nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless friends. A service of memory will be held later in the spring or summer when it’s safe to gather. Friends who wish, may contribute to either Broad Street United Methodist Church in Columbus or Honeoye Falls First Presbyterian Church in Carolyn’s memory. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Spence Funeral Home for their special friendship and care. Online condolences at www.spencefuneralhome.com
