Helen Tozer (Dobos) Stone lived an extraordin­ary life, spanning the tenure of 19 U.S. Presidents. Born October 6, 1920, she passed away at age 101 on Christmas Eve. The daughter of immigrant parents, her father was a career coal miner. She endured through the Great Depression, graduating from Woodrow Wilson HS in Beckley, WV; graduated from Beckley Business College so she could work at a skilled job during World War II; watched our astronauts walk on the moon as she raised her two sons and worked as an Environmen­tal Clearingho­use Coordinato­r for the Ohio Department of Transporta­tion; and marveled at the world that has developed since during her lengthy retirement, taking the opportunit­y to visit relatives in Hungary several times. J. Dobos, second husband Walter S. Stone, son Joseph Dobos, and brother Alfred Tozer. She leaves to cherish her memory son, David Dobos; granddaugh­ters, Cheryl (Jamie) Cuckler, Jennifer Mccann, and Emili (Nick) Chester; grandsons,

Joseph and Alex Dobos; five

great-grandchild­ren, Sarah and James Cuckler, Lauren and Colin Mccann, and Evan Chester; the children and families of her dear second husband, Walter; the children and families of her brother, Al; the descendant­s of her parents’ siblings here in the U.S. and who remain in Hungary; and a host of friends here in Columbus and around the country. Funeral arrangemen­ts are with The JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St., Columbus, 43204, where a funeral service will be held at noon on Thursday, December 30,2021. Pastor
