One killed in wrong-way crash on West Side interstate

One person was killed after a multivehic­le crash on Interstate 70 eastbound Wednesday morning.

The crash was reported near the Interstate 70 and Interstate 670 interchang­e around 4:15 a.m. At least one of the vehicles involved was a tractortra­iler.

Police said the crash is believed to have involved a driver going the wrong way on the interstate.

One person was taken to Ohiohealth Grant Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead. A second person was taken to the hospital with injuries that are not considered to be life-threatenin­g. Their identities had not been released by mid-afternoon Wednesday.
