Davis, Elwood “Woody”

1935 - 2021

late Alda and Noah Davis.

Woody was a veteran of the

US Marine Corps and was stationed in Camp Pendleton

and MCAS San Diego in California for some time.

He was a Barber for many years on the West Side of

Columbus. Woody played the Oboe, Clarinet and Sax in several bands including the Marine Corps band.

He played at the opening of Disneyland in 1954 and enjoyed telling people how he got to meet Walt Disney and get his autograph.

Woody was also preceded in death by his brothers

Noah Edwin and Frederick,

Davis. He is survived by his children, Robert (Jackie)

Davis, Denny (Julie) Davis and Diana (Brian) Faulkner; former spouse and mother of his children, Martha

Davis; former spouse,

Janet Davis; brother, Parks

Davis; 4 grandchild­ren, 7 great-grandchild­ren; many nieces and nephews. The visitation will be held from 2-3pm on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Newcomer-sw
