Wilma “Winky” Brown, 68, of Ashland, died peacefully on Thursday, December 30, 2021, in King’s Daughters Medical Center. She was born March 24, 1953, in Dunlow, West Virginia a daughter of the late, Dewey and Anna Meddings Stepp. In addition to her parents, a husband, Robin Bown, preceded her in death. After a long career in Health Care. Wilma at age 60, achieved her lifelong dream of Graduating from Ashland

Community College as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was currently employed with Morning Pointe. Wilma loved country music. Her favorites included Faron Young, Conway Twitty and George Strait. In her spare time she enjoyed playing bingo, however, she was happiest when surrounded by her family. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Roger Brown of Ashland; daughter, Tijuana (James) Douglas of Frederickt­own, OH; sons, Delmer (Susie) Horsley of Fremont, OH, and Michael (Adria) Barnett of Brooksvill­e, FL; brother, Wayne (Gail) Stepp of Ironton, OH; sisters, Freda (Glenn) Romans of Ceredo, WV, and Barbara Brown of Columbus, OH; grandchild­ren, Seth (Morgan) Magnetic, Jason (Katie) Plants, Jessica (Cody Morgan) Plants, Eric (Amber) Horsley, Leighton (Raquel)

Horsley, Cheyenne Barnett, Michael Barnett, Jr., Robin Barnett, Kash Barnett, Kendra (Glenn) Fraley, Vince and Michael Naccarato and Scott Talbert; several great grandchild­ren and a host of extended family members and dear friends.

A funeral service to honor Wilma’s life will begin at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at STEEN FUNERAL HOME 13TH STREET CHAPEL with Chaplain Jimm Smedley

in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home. In lieu
