Giving inmates two-for-one credit for highway work could help city’s trash problem
As I drive around and through our city, I am constantly disgusted with the amount of trash on our streets and highways, and between Linworth Road west to Sawmill Road is revolting.
But a solution is available.
Why not offer the incarcerated population who are serving time for minor crimes this proposition: If you work to pick up trash along our highways, you will get credit for two days for one day of work?
That may offer some form of rehabilitation and help our cities.
