Richard “Dick” J. Decamp, age 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, December 31, 2021 at Mount Carmel East Hospital. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 25, 1937, to the late Arby and Florence Decamp. He graduated from Frankfurt

American High School in Germany and attended Kansas State University. He served in the US Army Reserves and retired as Division President from R.G. Barry Corporatio­n after 37 years. Richard had a passion for helping those in need and was instrument­al in numerous charities. His ultimate passion was supporting his grandchild­ren’s sporting events through their college years. Preceded in death by his parents Arby and Florence. Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Carole Turner Decamp; son, Steven (Tammy) Decamp; daughter, Michelle “Shelley” Decamp; grandchild­ren, Zachary and Sydney; sister, Jean Szabad; sisters-in-law, Susan, Carolyn, Mary Turner, and Theresa; brothers-in law, Richard (Dee), David (Lorrie), Carl (Blythe) Turner; numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend appreciati­on to Dr. James Soldano. To honor the family’s request calling hours will be private. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial 10am Friday, January 7, 2022 at St. Patrick Church, with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery with Military Honor Guard.
