Margaret Ann (Ferguson) Johnston, age 99, of Columbus, formerly of Cambridge, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Brookdale Trillium in Columbus. She was born on September 3, 1922, daughter of the late Allen and Leoda Ferguson. She was a life long member of the former Second United Presbyteri­an Church (Unity) where she served as a deacon. She was a Red Cross Volunteer and had delivered Meals on Wheels. She served on the Guernsey County Cancer Board and Friends of the Library. Together with her husband she participat­ed in Civic affairs. Margaret attended Brown High School and Marietta College. She was currently a member of Bethel Presbyteri­an Church in Columbus. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John P. “Jack” Johnston. He died February 1, 1999. Also deceased are her sister Martha Garver and her brothers Ward and Tom Ferguson. She is survived by a son, Thomas A. Johnston and wife, Anita M. Steinbergh D.O.; a grandson, David S. (Mindy) Johnston; and a niece and two nephews. Visitation will be at Bundy-law Funeral Home on Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 11am-12pm with the service to begin at 12pm.

Dr. Jerry Kasberg will officiate the service with burial to follow in Northwood Cemetery. Please follow Covid guidelines if you plan on attending. In lieu of
