Anna Naomi Wurm, age 89, of Delaware, died peacefully on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at the Inn at Olentangy Trail surrounded by her loving family. Ann was born May 24, 1932 in Columbus to the late Hoyt J. and E. Louise (Pierce) Mcelwee. She graduated from Harlem High School and attended business school in Columbus. While in grade school,

Ann met the love of her life in Theodore I. Wurm, whom she married on September 12, 1954. Ann worked for Sears Roebuck for many years managing their loss prevention department. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchild­ren and friends, gardening, wildflower­s and baking, especially pies. Ann was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Harlem Alumni Associatio­n, the Ohio State Highway Patrol Wive’s Auxiliary and the Bellpointe Garden Club. In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death this past September by her husband of 67 years, Ted. Left to cherish Ann’s memory include her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Kris Wurm; daughter and son-inlaw, Lisa and John Yavorski; grandchild­ren, Karlie (A.J.) Fleak, Kyle Wurm, Ashton (Alex) Fink, and Dr. John Michael Yavorski; great-granddaugh­ters, Keely and Lily Fink; sister, Altha Stelzer; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Friends may call from 4-6PM on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at the Devore-snyder Funeral Home, 637 N. State Route 61, (at SR 3/36), Sunbury, where Funeral Service will be held at 12noon on Friday.
