3 wishes: What’s best for children, fair voting districts, safer city

-

I want all our children to be fed and valued, not only with food, but compassion and love.they are precious and deserve a good life regardless of their circumstance. We must be their protectors and keep them from danger. They should be free to live to their fullest potential by having a fair and equal education. We should accept nothing less for Columbus children.

I want a city with fair voting districts, not subject to any one party. We, the people voted on this, it passed, but was denied and is now in court. Voting rights are the bedrock on which democracies thrive. At this particular time in our history, they must be available to everyone who is eligible to vote. Without this right our democracy is in danger. Every vote must count and be counted.

I want our city to be safe for all. I was born and raised here and have never worried about going out at night, whether it’s as close as my neighborhood store or out with friends. Now I seriously consider if it’s worth the risk.

The violence and proliferation of guns in our community has reached unprecedented heights. It must stop.
