Arts events and activities honor MLK

Celebrate the life and legacy of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 17 at the Ohio History Center Museum, Interstate 71 and East 17th Avenue. From noon to 4 p.m., the King Arts Complex will hold an open house at the museum with dance, music, spokenword performances and art activities for kids. At 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., visitors can watch the documentary “The Green Book: Guide to Freedom,” about the guidebook used by African Americans for safe travel across the country from the 1930s through the 1960s.
