Sally J. Weber, 89, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully after a short illness at OSU James hospital on December 18, 2021. Sally was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, an only child to parents George and Ruby Stahl. She briefly attended the University of Michigan before transferri­ng to Ohio Wesleyan University where she met her future husband Bill. Sally and Bill settled in Columbus, where they raised three children and became devoted members of Maple Grove United Methodist Church and Overbrook Presbyteri­an

Church. Sally began her career as a teacher for the Columbus Public Schools and transition­ed into special education. She later worked in retail, as a bank teller, and spent many years volunteeri­ng at Riverside Hospital. Sally spent the latter years of her life at Ohio Living Westminste­r Thurber, where she made many new friends. She rediscover­ed her love for art and spent many hours sketching and painting. Birthday cards were some of her favorite creations, which she delighted in making for friends and family. Sally was preceded in death by her husband William Weber, daughter Linda J. Byers, and grandson Michael (Murphy) Shurig. She is survived by Susan Shurig (Michael) and Bill Weber (Carolyn Sandy). Sally had great passion and devotion to her family. She also loved travel, gatherings with friends, classical and 60’s folk music, discoverin­g new recipes, and her pooches. She never met a stranger and was the life of the party, and will be dearly missed by many. Due to the current Covid -19 restrictio­ns, a memorial service will be postponed to a later date to be announced.
