Peeples, Rhonda Nichelle

A shining star has been extinguished… Dr. Rhonda Peeples died suddenly and unexpectedly on February 15, 2022. She was born on November 27, 1972 to Ronald and Martha (Mcnutt) Peeples in Dayton, OH. Rhonda graduated with honors from Trotwood Madison High School in 1989. She went on to graduate from Wright State University with a B.A. in Elementary Education in 1996 and in the same year graduated summa cum laude with a M.A. in Education Policy & Leadership from The Ohio State University. Rhonda received her PHD in Education from OSU in May of 2021. In 2017, Dr. Peeples was named National Distinguished Principal for the state of Ohio. Dr. Peeples currently served as Equity Supervisor in the Department of Equity & Inclusion for Columbus City Schools. Dr. Peeples’ mother, Martha Peeples, tragically preceded her in death on February 3, 2022. Rhonda was also preceded in death by her grandparents James and Pauline Peeples and Alexander and Willie Mabel Mcnutt. Survivors include her father, Ronald Peeples, Sr. of Columbus, OH; brothers, Ronald Peeples, Jr. of Columbus, OH and Chris (Teesa) Adams of Charlotte, NC.; and her dog, Lady. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 11am at Power and Glory Ministries, 122 W. Church St., Pickerington, OH 43147.
