Dominican Sister of Peace, Sister Dorothy (Antoninus) Lemon died at Mohun Health Care Center, Columbus, OH on March 14. She was born in 1921 in Pittsburgh, PA and in 1942 entered the congregati­on of St. Mary of the Springs, now the Dominican Sisters of Peace. She earned her degree from the College of St. Mary of the Springs, now Ohio Dominican University. She taught in Steubenvil­le, OH, and in CT, NM, and PA. In the Columbus diocese she taught at St. James the Less. She did missionary work for twenty years in Chimbote, Peru. She was Pastoral Minister at St. Pius X Parish in Reynoldsbu­rg, OH for nine years. She was Director of Facilities at St. Mary of the Springs and was a congregati­onal volunteer. She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Mary Haney Lemon, her brother Clarence, and her sister Anna Margaret Evangelist­a. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. A Vigil of Remembranc­e Service will be held at 4:45PM on Tuesday, March 22 at the Columbus Motherhous­e. The funeral liturgy will be held at the Columbus Motherhous­e at 9AM on March 23 followed by burial at St. Joseph Cemetery by EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME.
