Betty J. Gardner Snider, age 88, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 25, 2022. Betty was born on June 25, 1933, in Columbus, Ohio to William Willard Atwood and Berdie Mae (Lennington) Atwood. She is preceded in death by husbands Pearl E. Gardner and Rev. Dr. William L. Snider, sisters Ernestine Marie (William) Klein and Stella Ann (Kenneth) Henry and brother-in-law James E. Cowgill. Survived by sisters Janet Corrine Burke (Martin), Norma Ruth Frazier (Richard), and Mary Esther Cowgill. Also, survived by children Pamela J. Richards and Rev. Michael E. Gardner, grandchildren Amy J. White, William M. Richards (Elizabeth), Rebecca A. Curtis, and Zachary A. Gardner. Seven beloved great-grandchildren also survived her: Abbie, Lauren, Ryan, Aubrey, Faith, Tucker, and Lilly. Mother worked at the Godman Company, Moorehouse Fashion, Grant Hospital, and was an Avon Representative in Grandview Heights, Ohio. Mom loved her family and because of her love of cats, she was known in the neighborhood as, “the cat lady.” She was an ardent fan of the Cincinnati Reds Baseball Team and watched them as frequently as possible. Mother was a classy lady admired by many, but always felt that her highest calling was serving our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We can only imagine the welcome she received when she entered into Heaven. Please join us in celebrating her life. Calling hours will be on Thursday, March 31 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Heritage Free Will Baptist Church, 575 Obetz Road Columbus, Ohio 43207. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 1 at 11:00 a.m. with additional calling hours from 10:0011:00 a.m. Dr. Timothy W. Stout and Rev. Michael E.
Gardner will officiate. Burial
to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 S. High
Street. In lieu of flowers,
