Elton John to bring farewell tour to Columbus
What do you do on a farewell tour, if it’s really, really a farewell tour this time? ● If you’re Elton John, you go back to the songs that make the fans happy. ● And that means, for the most part, going back to the ‘70s. ● John, who turned 75 in March, has made it clear that his appearance in Columbus at Value City Arena on April 12 will be his last. ● John launched the “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour in 2018, stopping at Value City Arena in November of that year, only to have the already lengthy tour interrupted by the pandemic. Another Value City Arena show was originally scheduled for April 2020. The world-spanning tour is now scheduled to run through 2023, at which point John plans to settle into a well-deserved retirement.
