Browns' corner Ward avoids serious injury

The latest update on the injury Pro Bowler Denzel Ward suffered on the final day of Browns' minicamp provided relatively good news for the cornerback.

An MRI and X-ray on the left foot that Ward hurt during Thursday's practice showed no structural damage, a league source confirmed to the Akron Beacon Journal. He is expected to be available once training camp starts July 27.

Ward signed a five-year, $100.5 million extension in April. The $44.5 million guaranteed money is a record for a corner.
