Lime twister sedum (Sedum “lime twister”) is a hardy succulent perennial that’s easy to grow in a central Ohio garden. This plant grows as a ground cover mound.
The leaves are ovate with lovely, two-tone lime green and a soft, creamy yellow edge. The leaf color remains through the summer, and only in the chill winter will the edge turn red. The leaves are thick and rubbery to touch. Hot-pink flower clusters hover over the plant in the summer, giving quite a show.
Lime twister sedums thrive in loose, well-draining soils. They are drought-tolerant, working well in a xeriscape garden and even as a spiller in a container.
Lime Twister sedum is relatively new to the garden, having received its U.S. plant patent in 2016.
