COLUMBUS - On Sunday, Nov.27, 2022, Mary Margaret Williams (Peggy) passed away in her home at the age of 93. As healthy as she was, she fought a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Peggy was born on September 25, 1929 to Rio and Mabel Wagner in West Palm Beach, Florida. She attended St. Mary of the Springs Academy and graduated from The Ohio State University class of 1951. She moved to New York with her bestie Norma Allen to pursue a modeling career. She returned home, met and fell in love with Russell Eli Williams. They married on Dec.27, 1952. They raised 7 children, Gary, Rick, Lisa (Jackie), Linda (Rodney), Michael, Stephen, Greg (Kristin). They were blessed with 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and some grand pups! Peggy was an avid Buckeye Fan attending games, cruises, and clinics! She also volunteered at the Bexley Thrift Shop where they would have winning floats for every 4th of July parade. Once Russ retired they travelled the world! I mean everywhere. They loved antiques, auctions, and flea markets. Peg was known as the trunk lady for her restorations of trunks. Russ and Peg loved Regis and Kathy Lee!! They made many trips to New York to watch “Live”. They went on every cruise they had. She was also a member of Grandparents living theater, supporter of Ballet Met, and any Senior challenge that came her way. Peggy was a member of the St. Catharine Parish on Gould Rd. where she sang in the choir. Religion was very important to her. Thank you Kristin for bringing her communion and gospel. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Russ (Feb.7, 2020), her beautiful sister Clarice (Dolly), brother-in-law Hank, and daughter in law, Kelly.
