Kathleen Vogel

Kathleen (Kathy) Jean Vogel, age 72, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 2nd, 2023. Kathy was a retired adult education teacher for Columbus City Schools. She attended Muskegon Catholic Central high school and Michigan State University.

Kathy was a gifted writer and an avid reader with a keen sense of humor. She channeled her creativity and artistic ability into creating countless cherished jewelry pieces for family and friends. Kathy loved dogs, the Michigan State Spartans, collecting antiques, visiting Lake Michigan, and spending time with her best friend and the love of her life, her husband, Don. Above all, Kathy’s greatest gift was her son Andy, who was born on her birthday.

Kathy was a beloved mother, wife, sister, aunt, and daughter. She is preceded in death by her father, Louis Pavlic, and sister, Denise Pavlic. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Donald Vogel, son, Andrew (Gabriella) Vogel, mother, Eleanor Bray Pavlic, sisters, Mary Reineke, Connie Weitzel, Laurie (Ron) Caniff, and Janice (Mark) Youngberg, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Friends may call Wednesday, February 8th, 4-7 pm at the Egan-ryan Funeral Home (614-2216665), 403 E. Broad St. in Columbus, Ohio, where the Funeral Service will be held at 7pm.
