Bloodlands

Acorn TV ● Season Premiere!

The gritty Irish crime thriller returns for a six-episode second season, which follows DCI Tom Brannick (James Nesbitt) as he is pulled into a desperate hunt for a treasure that has been hidden since the dark days of a legendary assassin codenamed Goliath. Two new episodes drop Mondays starting today through Feb. 20.

Silverpoin­t

BYUTV, 8 p.m. ● New Series!

This acquired kids sci-fi/mystery series from the CBBC (a British public broadcast children’s channel owned and operated by the BBC) begins its story in 1997, when four kids vanish from an adventure camp in Silverpoin­t Woods. Over two decades later, one boy aims to find out what happened. Silverpoin­t’s first season has already aired in Britain, where it was nominated for two of BAFTA’S Children & Young People Awards. The show joins other popular acquired internatio­nal young adult series on BYUTV, like Malory Towers. The entire first season is currently available on byutv.org and on the BYUTV app.

C.B. Strike: Troubled Blood

HBO, 9 p.m. ● Season Premiere! Childhood grief haunts London PI Cormoran Strike (Tom Burke) and his client in this four-part adaptation of the fifth J.K. Rowling (writing as Robert Galbraith) novel. When Anna Phipps (Sophie Ward) asks Strike to pursue the cold case of her mother, missing since 1974, he agrees, although he’s caring for his dying aunt (Call the Midwife’s Linda Bassett). By the sleuth’s side: unfalterin­g Robin Ellacott (Holliday Grainger). The partners are “firm friends,” Grainger says, but they’ll question whether there’s anything more.

Black in Space: Breaking the Color Barrier

Smithsonia­n Channel, 9 p.m.

This candid 2020 doc features would-be astronaut Edward Dwight Jr., the first

Black candidate not chosen by the Apollo Program in 1963, and Guion “Guy” Bluford of 1983’s Challenger launch. News: NASA will send an American of color to the moon in 2025.

Icons Unearthed: Fast & Furious: “A Heist?”

Vice, 9 p.m.

Tonight’s new episode looks at how Universal broke the mold with their Fast Five. With bigger and better stunts, internatio­nal locations and one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, could the franchise’s new direction pay off?

History’s Greatest of All Time With Peyton Manning

History, 10 p.m.

New Series!

NFL great Peyton Manning executive produces and hosts this series that finds him, in each hourlong episode, counting down the Top 10 G.O.A.T.S (Greatest Of All Time) across categories ranging from titans of industry and daredevils to sports cars and sports stadiums. To rank each contender, Manning asks 100 experts in the various subjects to weigh in using statistics, innovation and historical impact/legacy as criteria. As each person is ranked, viewers will learn incredible facts as well as the history behind each topic, followed by a vigorous debate.
