Robert Burchfield

Robert (Bob) Andrew Burchfield Jr. (September 13, 1948 - February 4, 2023) passed peacefully in his home on the morning of February 4, 2023, at the age of 74. He is preceded in death by his mother Esther Burchfield and father Robert Burchfield Sr. He is survived in death by his loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Charlene Marsh Burchfield, his two children; Bradley (Christy) Burchfield and Bethany Burchfield (Jeff) Antle, his sister, Linda Trimmer his, six grandchildren; Gabriella (Christian) Bores, Mckenna (Tyler) Otterstedt, Elijah Smith, Caden Smith, Benjamin Burchfield, and Brooke Burchfield, his two great-grandchildren; Landon and Brinley Bores. Veteran of the U.S. Army. Bob Burchfield, affectionately remembered as “the coach” was a lifelong champion of women’s athletics and nothing short of a hometown hero. He spent a substantial portion of his adulthood shaping young Reynoldsburg athletes into adults who believed in themselves beyond any doubt. He was known for his strength and positive attitude amid hardships and spent his last 30 years encouraging others to do the same. As Pawpaw, he had a contagious love for his family and supported them in every endeavor, making him the biggest Hartley Hawks, Granville Aces, and Reynoldsburg Raiders fan you would ever meet. He was an encourager, an optimist, and a peacemaker. His community, loved ones, and family will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
