Andrew Steven Bowman, 25, passed away on February 7, 2023. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Gus and Evie Bowman. Survived by his parents, Jim and Tracey Bowman; sisters, Lindsay and Carolyn Bowman; grandparents, John and Sandy Mccord; beloved partner, Emma Macaluso; uncles, Gus Bowman III (Sandy) and David (Sharon) Bowman; cousins, Lauren, Karl, Gaby, David Jr. and Jay Bowman; and many dear, dear friends, you know who you are. Andrew was a compassionate, loving, loyal, and good natured soul. He was fiercely protective of those he loved most. He loved being surrounded by his family and friends. And of course his passion for sports was unmatched. Growing up Andy played soccer, hockey, tennis, baseball, basketball, football...he loved it all, especially the changing of outfits that came with each one! Whether he was playing, coaching or just watching, sports were an integral part of his life. He was a summer camp counselor for the sports programs at his school. He volunteered with Buddy Up Tennis and helped develop a fundraiser at his college to benefit this organization. He studied Sports Management at the University of Tampa and had various internships including the Tampa Bay Rays, the St. Petersburg Grand Prix, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers which ultimately culminated in a job post graduation. The dream job for a sports fanatic! But his absolute passion was for Ohio State Football. This past season, despite his illness, he was able to be at all but one home game for his beloved Buckeyes, which meant the world to him. It brought him so much joy to be with friends and family on those beautiful Saturdays at the Shoe. Andy showed kindness towards everyone he met. His welcoming grin was infectious. He lifted people up, he made everyone feel like they were the most important person to him, he was the ultimate best friend. He loved and was loved unconditionally. He has left a void in our lives that can never be filled. We will miss him so very much. The spirit of his kind and loving nature will be carried forward by everyone he touched! A celebration of Andrew will be held from 11-4 PM on Saturday, February 11th at Rocky Fork Country Club, 5189 Clark State Rd. Gahanna.
