POWELL - Charles A. Bush, MD passed away peacefully at his home in Powell, Ohio on February 8, 2023 at the age of 81. His contributions to the medical community, life of service, and his passion for Buckeye football are remembered by many. Graduate of Kent State University BA (1962); Western Reserve University College of Medicine MD (1965). Faculty Member OSU College of Medicine 1965 – 2014. He was Resident and Chief Resident Internal Medicine Ohio State University Hospitals; Cardiologist OSU Wexner Medical Center and Ross Heart Hospital 1970 – 2014; Medical Director OSU Ross Heart Hospital 2004 – 2013 and Emeritus Professor at The Ohio State University College of Medicine since 2014. He was member of St. Joan of Arc Parish, Powell, Ohio. He is survived by: son, Charles Andrew (April) grandsons, Eli and Ethan; son, Christopher Aaron (Marne) grandsons, Akasha and Banyan, granddaughters, Vivi and Charli; brother, Richard. He was preceded in death by parents, George Leonard and Alma (Millonig) Bush. Calling hours will be held from 4 – 6 pm Wednesday, February 22 at Rutherford Funeral Home at Powell, 450 W. Olentangy St., Powell. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11 am Thursday, February 23 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 10700 Liberty Rd, Powell, OH 43065. Private graveside service will be held for immediate family only.
