SONOMA - George Manuselis, Jr passed away February 4, 2023. Born in Akron, OH on October 31, 1941 to George and Katherine Manuselis, George lived most of his life in Ohio before retiring to Sonoma, CA.

A graduate of East High School and Ohio University, George earned a Masters degree in 1964 and was a Medical Technologist and certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathology. For thirty years, George was a professor in the Medical Technology Division of The Ohio State University and an Adjunct Professor at Central Ohio Technical College. George co-authored a widely used textbook in the field, now in its fifth edition.

A devout member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Columbus, George was active in their annual festival that celebrated his beloved Greek culture and ancestry. George enjoyed tennis, golf, and spending time with friends and his large extended family, who knew George as a practical joker who loved to make people laugh with his dry and mischievous sense of humor.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Helen Christ. George is survived by his daughters Kristina (Neil) Espenship and Richelle (Andrew) Ryan of Sonoma, CA; three grandchildren Jake, Joe, and Olivia Ryan; sister, Liberty Spataro and brother Demetrious (Ann) Manuselis, both of Akron, OH; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held at Pleasant Hill Memorial Park in Sebastopol, CA on February 17, 2023. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the LBD Fund of the American Brain Foundation. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of George’s friends and family that have been a vital part of his life.
