Regina Meyer
COLUMBUS - Writer, educator, and loving family member, Mary Regina (Krichbaum) Meyer, who was born in Denver, Colorado, died on February 17, 2023 at the age of 74. Regina died unexpectedly while surrounded by her devoted family, who will strive to pass on her legacy of love. Regina pursued her literary passions of writing and literature at Ohio University in Athens and graduated summa cum laude in three years. She went on to be an incredible teacher winning the coveted Hilliard City Schools Inspiration Award on behalf of the hundreds (most likely thousands) of students that were blessed to have been in her classroom. She won the award not once, but twice over her 25+ year teaching career. She married the love of her life, John Frison Meyer in 1970 and began working and raising a family. She was the proud mother of Charles and Michael Meyer and stepmother of Todd Meyer. Regina loved animals, the beauty of nature and, most of all, family. She had a green thumb she inherited from her father and could also cook a mean pot roast inherited from her mother. She cherished her English Setters as part of her family. Her most inspiring quality was her ability to make each of her family members aware of his or her unique extraordinary talents; no doubt a quality that benefitted her thousands of students over the years. Regina is preceded in death by her parents Mary and Charles Krichbaum and her stepson, Todd. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, John Meyer, her sons Charles (Elizabeth) Meyer, Michael (Laura) Meyer and her loving grandchildren Jackson, Caden, Tessa, Anna, Quinn, and Connor. Also surviving Regina is her sister Charlotte Rossi, her brotherin-law, Alan Rossi and Alan (nephew) and Gina Moore (niece). Family will receive friends from 4pm to 7pm on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Schoedinger Worthington, 6699 N. High Street, Worthington. Family will have a private funeral service.
