POWELL - On Wednesday, February 22nd, 2023, Carl Christman, devoted husband, loving father and grandfather passed peacefully into heaven with his family by his side at the age of 75.

Carl was born on July 19th, 1947, in Dayton, Ohio. From a young age, he was driven to succeed and make the most of his life; but his family always came first. He loved to travel and take cruises, and a recent trip to Alaska with his family and friends was the best trip of his life. He loved to throw a great party, was the ultimate Ohio State Buckeyes fan and was deeply involved in supporting causes close to his heart.

His kind spirit, genuine demeanor and cheerful disposition attracted people wherever he went. Carl never met a stranger and always welcomed you with a smile. He loved to tell stories, had a great sense of humor and a kind and compassionate heart. He was loving, generous, confident, honest, fair, quick on his feet and always a reliable source of strength and wisdom. He was a creative visionary and a great problem solver. From Eagle Scout to accomplished entrepreneur and Taco Bell franchisee, Carl started with two restaurants in 1979 and expanded over the years throughout Ohio. He retired in June 2021 wanting to spend more time with his family.

Carl is preceded in death by his parents Carl and Viola Christman, aunt Hilda Christman, father-in-law Jesse Hill and brother-in-law John Daugherty.
