Betty Louise Schoeppner

POWELL - Betty Louise Schoeppner, age 90, of Powell, Ohio, passed peacefully Friday, March 3, 2023 and is now reunited in Heaven with her husband, loved ones and our Lord and Savior. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Charles and infant son, Timothy. Betty will be deeply missed by her 4 children; son, Michael (Holly) of Bucyrus, daughter Karen (John) Howell of Columbus, daughter Jane (Steve) Zubrzycki of Springboro, daughter Melissa (Dave) Selig of Orlando; 10 grandchildren; David (Era) Howell, Julie (Greg) Shadd and Kelly (Jeremy) Hardin, Sarah (Joe) Janka, Staci Zubrzycki, Kaitlyn Zubrzycki, Jonathan (Betty) Selig, Rachel (Tim) Lootens, Hannah (Jon) Kraynak and Tyler Selig; and 7 great grandchildren; Kari Shadd, Divya and Priya Howell, Jason and Ryan Hardin and Madelyn and Charlotte Janka.

Betty was born in 1932 in Barnesville, Ohio. Married in 1953, Betty and Chuck spent most of their child raising years in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. In 1985 they moved to Marietta, Ohio and in 2005, they moved to Powell, Ohio to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Betty missed Chuck deeply after his passing in 2011, but she treasured her children and grandchildren and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Grammy to her 7 great-grandchildren.

Betty’s family gathered for her 90th birthday in 2022 to celebrate her life. Her family and friends will always remember her as a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who made spending time together memorable and holidays magical.

The family will receive friends on Sunday March 5, 2023 from 2-4 pm followed by a short service at the RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL 450 W. Olentangy St. (Powell Rd./st. Rt. 750/1/4 mile east of Sawmill Pkwy) Powell, Ohio 43065.
