Jane Horowitz-wright passed peacefully, with her daughter at her side, on February 27, 2023 in Charlotte, NC after battling Alzheimer's Disease. Jane was born in Galion, Ohio to Dr. Martin Horowitz and Esther (Rosen) Horowitz on April 24,1945. Jane was preceded in death by her parents and her late husband Tom C. Wright, who passed March 11, 2021. She was adored and is survived by her brothers: Marc Horowitz (Anastasia-decd) and Bruce Horowitz (Esperanza); Her children: Lisa Hurst (Steve), Daniel Van Hoose (Gina) and David Van Hoose; Stepchildr­en: Patrick Wright (Debi), Elizabeth Ashcraft (David), and Paul Wright (Susan); Beloved grandchild­ren: Kayla Moles (Marcus), Riley Van Hoose, Ben Van Hoose and Parker Hurst; Nieces and nephews: Meredith Jimerson (Josh), Daniela Williams (Chris), Gabriela Lazich (Ben) and Esther Horowitz; Step nieces and nephews: Shelley Scarberry (Stephanie), David Wright (Lori), Doug Wright (Liesel) and Frank Wright Jr.

Jane treasured her bonus grandchild­ren: Amanda Hurst, Tylor Hurst, Rachel Hurst, Laine Franklin (Eric), Ashlyne Wright, Cameron Wright, Ryan Ashcraft (Taylor), Megan Snider (Austin), Anna Wright and Livia Wright; as well as her Rosen, Horowitz and Kallenberg families and her many dear friends.

Jane was a well-read, incredibly intelligen­t, kind and humble person who engaged life fully as a devoted daughter, wife, mother and friend. She attended the University of Arizona as a member of Sigma Delta Tau. She was a lifetime member of Hadassah, Sabra Chapter. Jane served as a PTA President, an Executive Director, a High School Administra­tive Assistant, a Hospital Administra­tive Assistant, and as President of a theatre company. She was a great appreciato­r and supporter of the arts. She was consistent­ly involved in the Columbus Jewish Center's community services. Jane and Tom were longtime members of Temple Israel in Columbus and Temple Beth Shalom in New Albany, Ohio. All are grateful for having Jane's warm accepting presence in their lives. A celebratio­n of life will be held at a later time. In Jane's memory donations can be made to the Cure Alzheimer's Fund, curealz.org, either directly or through Amazon or ebay charitable programs.
