COLUMBUS - Gayle Channing-tenenbaum - mother, friend, and renowned child advocate - passed away, peacefully and well cared for, at the age of 79. Gayle led a life of fierce devotion, not only to her family and friends, but to all of Ohio’s children and families who will live healthier and happier lives for many years to come thanks to her advocacy.

Gayle is survived by her daughters, her “heart made real,” Rachel and Carin Channing. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Milt Tenebaum, whose twinkling eyes were her great joy. Gayle’s cat Huck crossed the Rainbow Bridge just days after she did. For Gayle, community was family, and she created a network of friendships that lasted a lifetime.
