Rebecca Andreas
Rebecca Lynn Andreas, 71, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Rebecca was born in Wheeling, West Virginia on October 26, 1951, to Lawrence and Dorothy (Yaterka) Falbo Sr. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, David Andreas, of Pickerington, Ohio; daughter, Jenna Andreas, of Columbus, Ohio; sister, Dina (Falbo) Williams of Bexley, Ohio; brother, Lawrence Falbo Jr. of Shadyside, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents. Becky was a passionate teacher; she had a successful career and retired after 35 years of teaching. She spent the majority of her career serving the students, staff and community of the Reynoldsburg City School District. She taught 6th grade at Hannah Ashton Middle School where she shared her love of reading and writing. She also served as the Instructional Specialist at Rose Hill Elementary. She treasured the meaningful, lasting relationships that were formed with her students and co-teachers. Even after retirement, Becky continued to give back to the community. She volunteered in a first grade classroom, and she also assisted in delivering Meals on Wheels for those in need. In Becky’s spare time, she loved spending time with friends and family. Becky was an avid reader. She enjoyed all genres of books and shared many of her favorites with the children in her classroom, her friends, and family. At home, she found joy in trying out new recipes, especially ones that involved baking. Becky enjoyed spending time outdoors throughout the seasons, visiting her childhood home in Shadyside, and spending her summers near the ocean. Of all the things Becky loved, her greatest love and joy came from being a mother to her daughter, Jenna.
