The left’s ‘dream’ is to eradicate our history

I think the political left has set out to take down America as we know it, canceling culture, sowing hate and division by accusing Americans of racism, homophobia and being Nazis for even questioning their characterization of the rest of us all.

They have taken control of our language, our energy, appliances, justice system, southern border and schools. They have sanctioned drug use and allowed homelessness to prosper destroying big cities.

They have ignored the U.S. Constitution and lied when confronted with their actions. We can no longer trust their words or their motives. There are few publications that will address any of the above issues.

We are a country in rapid decline and as Abraham Lincoln said, “A house divided against itself cannot stand.”

We can debate the issues of crime, justice, censorship, the border, sexism, LGBTQ+, foreign policy, fentanyl and abortion ad infinitum, but the underlying issue is the destruction of the America we love and live in by those who hate our country and think it irretrievably racist and immoral to the core.

Their “dream” is to eradicate our history and amazing achievements in every possible way and establish their “new world order” based on progressive principles of diversity, equity and inclusion.” This has led to chaos, terror, lawlessness and the destruction of our civilized society.

Who will address this disintegration so carefully planned by our leaders to divide Americans, polarizing us against one another?

If so, may God help us.

311 shows how bureaucratic doesn’t work

A call to the Columbus 311 Customer Service Center showed how inept and bureaucratic these folks are.

If they can’t fit it into a template and create a “ticket” they seem unable to help.

A simple request about street sweeping in our neighborhood could not be answered and basically “we don’t know”— no extra effort to follow up or solve my problem.

After repeatedly asking the representative to provide some type of follow up, a ticket was begrudgingly created. And of course, no response as of yet from any staff member.

Then again, look at the weak leadership and “lack of customer focus” displayed by our supposed leaders like Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther and Council President Shannon Hardin.

Your Social Security check is on the line

What happens if Congress does not extend the debt ceiling?

Most people, whether they live in the city, town or country, believe in paying their debts.

If Congress doesn’t extend the debt ceiling, the United States will be defaulting on debts that it already owes. If Congress doesn’t extend the debt ceiling by June 1, I and other senior citizens will not get their June Social Security checks, which affects our ability to pay for food, rent, utilities, prescriptions, and other essentials, which will have ripple down effects to the rest of the economy.

Then, the same consequences for veteran benefits and government workers.

If the U.S. defaults on their payments, experts say it will bring chaos into Wall Street, stocks prices will plunge, and we will go into a recession.

Internationally, the loss of the good faith of the American dollar is something we can never get back. It may even blow up the world economy.

If you want to get your Social Security check next week, please contact your congressional representative and urge to extend the debt ceiling to prevent default on our national debt.
