Jake Michael Deckard

REYNOLDSBURG - Jake Michael Deckard, 23, of Reynoldsburg, was tragically taken too soon on Friday, June 2, 2023 in a motorcycle accident. He was born on October 29, 1999 at St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville. He was a Reynoldsburg High School graduate class of 2018. He loved to go shooting with his dad, he loved skating, playing hockey with his buddies, and his love was his car. Jake began working at 16 at Kroger where he built friendships that meant the world to him. His friends and family will remember him for his big heart and ability to care for others. Jake cared deeply for his family and friends, including the ones from the neighborhood, his school, and from work. He will truly be missed and loved forever. Jake leaves behind his parents Jeffrey and Patti Deckard; sister Leah Allison Deckard; his granny Janice Schrader; aunts and uncles Brenda Harrington, Julie (Terry) Schrader, and Steven (Cheri) Schrader; many great aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends who loved him. His family would like to thank his friends for their support during this time and the beautiful memories they have shared. Jake’s family will receive friends on Thursday, June 8, from 5-8pm at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, where his funeral service will be held on Friday at 10am where his family and friends will be sharing memories.
