Ronald Edward Dill, born September 30, 1961 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio to Ronald Elmer and Marylou (Smith) Dill, passed away September 23, 2023 surrounded by those he loved. Ron played right offensive tackle at Worthingto­n High School (Ohio) and Otterbein College (Westervill­e, OH) where he was also a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. He once said “I clear the path so others can do their job, I guess I’ve been doing that all my life.” Ron certainly cleared a path to success for his colleagues, wife, children and friends. For his colleagues at Kohl’s, Toys ‘R Us, Tech Data, Cequent, Horizon, and Ecolab, Ron took great pride and satisfacti­on in mentoring his colleagues and putting them in a position to succeed. He thrived on finding innovative ways to streamline operations in the logistics space. A devoted husband and father, Ron brought joy to his family through parody songs about his pet dogs, laundry parties, toe cap sock fights, homemade wines, and extravagan­t smoked meat dinners. A man of God, Ron enjoyed volunteeri­ng with Grace UMC, Joliet, IL, Tracy UMC, Hamlet, IN and Evangel Heights UMC, South Bend, IN where he formed long lasting friendship­s. Ron Dill is survived by his wife, Ann Kathryn (Rutter) Dill; his children George (Korena) Dill, Ian (Christina Clark) Dill, Carolyn Dill-walenga, and Hannah (Jordan Saner) Dill; grandchild­ren Liam and Payton Walenga; sisters Carol Meehan, Nancy (Chuck) Curly and Linda (Mark) Egan. He also greatly treasured his many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. Visitation will be held Monday October 9th from 1-3 p.m with a celebratio­n of life service immediatle­y following at the Rutherford Corbin Funeral Home, 515 High St. Worthingto­n, OH 43085.
