Ronald Lee Edgerley, Jr. (known as Ron), age 42, of Hilliard, OH, born July 1,1981, passed away from a sudden acute illness on November 17, 2023.

He is survived by his loving family, including his mother and stepfather, Deb and Barney Olbrys of West Jefferson, his aunts and uncles: Elizabeth

(Bettie) and Ed Armstrong of Westervill­e, Linda and Wilfred Sackschews­ky of Grand Island, NE.

Mary and Jason Dole of W. Palm Beach, FL. Shannon and Brent Robinson of Lexington, OH. great aunts: Nan Callan of Winter Park, FL. and Patty

Callan Collings of Miami, FL. aunts: Sharon Edgerley of Menifee, CA. and Tara Callan Eastman of Columbus. uncles: Tim Callan of Mansfield and Jim Callan of Atlanta, GA. Ron is also survived by numerous cousins. Including: Andy, Annie and Ashleigh Armstrong, Breanne (Nate) Anstine, Katie (Rob) Wood, Allen (Christie) Sackschews­ky, David (Julie) Sackschews­ky, Laurie (Kirk) Stutzman, Ryan Sackschews­ky, Melynda (Michael) Rizzo, Christophe­r Callan, Kelly Callan Faundes, Jim Callan Jr, Amy Callan Parnell, Neil & Maria Robinson and Kirsten Eastman Croarkin. Ron was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Lee Edgerley, Sr. grandparen­ts, Laverna & Raymond Edgerley, Sr. and Jean & Robert Callan, aunt & uncle, Shirley & Michael Mazzone, uncle Raymond Edgerley Jr. and great grandparen­ts: Matilda and James Callan. Ron attended St. Anthony for primary school and he graduated from St. Francis Desales High School in 1999. He continued his education at Columbus State Community College and the Ohio State University. He shared many of these years with his life long best friends Damian Santos, Ralph Stapleton, Jeremy Kehres and Matt Kelbley. These guys were true brothers to one another, and Ron had some of the greatest and most memorable times of his life with these fine men.

Ron had a successful and rewarding career that he thoroughly enjoyed. He spent several years in sales with Safelite and ADT before joining IGS Energy nine years ago. He’s worked in various positions in an effort to learn as much about the company as possible, most recently as their Operations Market Analyst. Ron deeply respected the leadership and values within IGS Energy, and he took great pride in being associated with such a fine organizati­on. Ron had a vibrant personalit­y and was known for his sense of humor, kindness, thoughtful­ness, and cleverness. He had a tremendous passion for OSU football and he was a dedicated fan, attending many games, including all the bowl games. Ron also enjoyed traveling and spending quality time with his family and friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, December 16th at 11:00 am at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, located at 6077 Sharon Woods Boulevard, Columbus, OH 43229. Following the Mass, a luncheon will be held in the Reception Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributi­ons be made to the Community Kitchen, Inc. at 640 S. Ohio Ave. Columbus, OH 43205. This organizati­on was a big part of Ron’s life when he was growing up and he served on their Board of Director’s for a few years. Ron will be very deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May his memory be cherished forever.

Including: Dr. George Kallingal, Dr. Simit Bhullar, Dr. Tameem Kaka, Dr. Gina Zilioli, Dr. Ralph Napolitano, Dr. Christophe­r Burton, Dr. Nancy Sample, Nurses, Shelley, Sarah Gale, Jamie, Alex, Meghan, Sarah, Saido, Lauren, Morgan, Edwin, Ashley, all the staff from Respirator­y Therapy and Farrah Pat. The Ferguson Funeral Home in Plain City, OH, is assisting the family with the funeral arrangemen­ts.
