Susan Judith Waggener Rhees Clark

-

Susan, born December 12, 1946, passed away peacefully in her home on January 3, 2024 at the age of 77. Susan grew up in Columbus, graduating from Upper Arlington High School. She and her best friends were inseparable, while growing up. Susan was a single mom, she attended night school and got her real estate license. She found great success in real estate, and worked her way up to become the head of one of the largest relocation departments in the county. Through her work she was fortunate enough to live in some exciting places such as Miami, New Orleans, Indianapolis, and Palm Beach, Florida. She enjoyed traveling all over the county for her job, and with her daughters to Europe. After her retirement she focused on her grandchildren. Susan was a fixture at every swim meet for her grandchildren. She arrived at 5:00am to save seats, and everyone knew Grandma Susan. She cheered on her grandkids, and will now have the best seats in the house, watching down on the kids from heaven. She had a kind heart, and love of animals. Susan was proceeded in death by her very much-loved schnauzers Molly and Madeline, her parents George and Marjorie Waggener, her granddaughter Lauren, her brother Michael, as well as her Aunt Kay and Uncle Bob Fothergill, Aunt Rosemary and Uncle Earl Bland, and Aunt Blanche Waggener. She is survived by her daughters Lisa and Lori Rhees, as well as her beloved grandchildren Jordan and Spencer, her sister Mary Lynne Price, and nieces Julie and Katie and their families, as well as her cousins. Susan will be greatly missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the American Heart Association or Best Friend Animal Sanctuary. Friends may call Sunday, January 7th from 2:00pm – 4:00pm at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 E. Broad St., Columbus, Ohio 43215.
