- William Marvin Edmunds, age 88, of Canal Winchester, OH passed away peacefully February 15, 2024 in his home. He was born on November 29, 1935 in Oneonta, NY to the late Arthur and Alice (Orcutt) Edmunds.

His friends and family have described him as an aficionado who was strong, charismati­c, generous, sweet, loyal, tenacious, awesome, brave, brilliant, witty, deliberate, stubborn, stoic, handsome, positive, meticulous, robust, likable, classic, resilient, handy, proud, personable, considerat­e, successful, influentia­l, adventurou­s, ornery, and charming.

As a young boy he was very career driven when he started making popsicles at an ice cream shop at night and a paper route in the early mornings. After his graduation from Syracuse University, he quickly moved to Columbus, OH, married his bride, started his family and built his lifelong career at Owens Corning Fiberglass. He was most proud of his years serving as Chairman of the board for ASTM. His most enjoyable role in life was being a proud grandfathe­r. Additional hobbies included mowing, tending to his bountiful vegetable garden and playing bridge and rummy with friends. He always shared fond memories of his camp/fishing trips to Lake Erie with his buddies and of course having a cocktail.

Preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Ann and his son, William Russell Edmunds. Survivors include sister Ruth Ann (Edmunds) (David) Root, daughter, Linda (Skip) Weiler, daughter in law Cheryl (William) Edmunds; six grandchild­ren Heather (Marc) Gambrill, Billy (Sydney) Edmunds, Annie (Shannon Williams) Weiler, Bobby, Carley and Michael Weiler; five great grandchild­ren, Lincoln and Cooper Gambrill, Julius, Julien and Yuri Weiler-williams; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends are welcomed to a Celebratio­n of Life to be held July 20th 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Weiler Barn, 5265 Hoovergate Lane, Westervill­e, Ohio 43082 . Please come celebrate and share a memory.
